At Lansdown Park we are passionate that students who attend our school not only acquire knowledge but acquire new skills and attributes too. We do this by developing the entrepreneurial skills and attributes needed to be successful in life. These are the ability to; work in a team, solve problems, take manageable risks, be resilient and bounce back from failure, work independently, have a “can do” attitude and treat people how you would want to be treated.
We believe that it is our responsibility to make sure that our students become flexible and adaptable individuals to enable them to be successful in our worlds ever increasing competitive workplaces.
We do this by offering all our students the chance to be involved in running their own companies at school e.g. we now have a school tuck shop which is being run by a group of Lansdown Park students.
In addition, we are passionate about developing our students’ awareness of social enterprise e.g. our whole student body are currently being enterprising by orgainising various sponsored events and taking part in bag packing at a local supermarket to raise money for the cancer charity Macmillan.
